Kent all-rounders Darren Stevens and Azhar Mahmood have been named the two most valuable Twenty 20 players over the past five years.
Stevens has picked up the prestigious honour of being named the Most Valuable Player by the Professional Cricketers Association for his performances for the Kent Spitfires over the past five years of the competition.
The former Leicestershire all-rounder has shown his worth for Kent Spitfires once again this season and picked up the man of the match award against the Middlesex Panthers at the weekend, taking 3 for 23 and scoring 26 off just 18 balls.
Stevens has picked up 706.85 ranking points in the MVP list of the best 50 cricketers in the domestic Twenty 20 competition, with Azhar Mahmood second place with 626.24 points.
Mahmood also picked up 2 for 22 against the Panthers whilst finding some form with the bat as he smashed two fours and a six in his 26 ball innings of 30.
Both players have been instrumental in Kent’s success over recent seasons and are joined in the top 50 list by Simon Cook (in 37th place with 392.83 points) and Rob Key (in 38th place with 392.18 points).
